Extraction of Nails: To extract the nail with the front claws, it is no longer necessary to change your grip or to turn
the hammer around as you must do when extracting a nail with the rear claw. While holding the Stewart Hammer in the nail driving
position, slide the front claws onto the head of the nail and pull up on the handle. The nail is extracted with very little effort.
The standard claw hammer currently available at the market place frequently folds the nail head over and breaks it off. The Stewart
Hammer pulls the nail from woods such as cured oak, hickory, and all other hard woods without distorting the head of the nail. When
using a Stewart Hammer, a block of wood or a crow bar is no longer needed for extracting nails.
Straightening Wood Studs: To straighten a wood stud, hook the front claws onto the stud as illustrated, and apply pressure to
the rear side of the handle to achieve the alignment desired.
